Point Sources
The Point Sources feature class is a point feature class that specifies the location of point sources adding (or removing) water and nutrients from the stream network. As with the hydrologic structures, these should be added after the stream network has been built since the point sources need to be associated with a specific stream reach. The Add Point Sources tool on the WAM Toolbar is used to add features to the feature class, which are then parameterized using the Feature Properties Editor.
The required fields in the Point Source feature class:
| Attribute | Alias | Data Type | Scenario_WAM Join Table |
|---|---|---|---|
| PointSourceID | Point Source ID | Long Integer | Reach_PointSource_Type.PointSourceID |
| PointSourceName | Point Source Name | String (100) | N/A |
Rainfall Station Data Quality Assumptions
-
The location of each point feature is accurate.
-
The PointSourceID attribute of each feature polygon corresponds to a station in the Reach_PointSource_Type table in the Scenario_WAM database.
-
A complete join can be created between the Point Source ID and the point source time series tabular records that specify flows and nutrient concentrations.
